Northeast Doulas is proud to be the only Doula Agency to provide potential clients with a complimentary visit from one of our pregnancy consultants. Pregnancy Consultants working with Northeast Doulas are seasoned doulas, who have worked with hundreds of families. Their experience goes beyond working with families on a daily basis to include all of the extra support you will need when making important decisions about your new baby and family. Our consultants are up to date on all things relating to pregnancy, labor, birth and cesarean section and the postpartum period. For your peace of mind, these two ladies keep themselves appraised on the ever changing recommendations of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) as well as the recommendations of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG). When there is a product recall surrounding the needs of a mom or baby, you can be sure that these ladies will have all of the details and be able to direct you on how to handle it. Whether you need a Lactation Consultant or an artist to paint a mural on the walls of your nursery, Lauren and Kim have established professional resources to meet your every need! Our Pregnancy Consultants also work in the capacity of compatibility experts. During the home visit they are both observing and inquiring to ensure that your family is matched with the proper doula for your needs. They will base this on personality style as well as parenting philosophy. In addition to this, you will learn of various other services that can enhance your parenting and postpartum experience. | Lauren Schwarzfeld
With a strong background in research and organization, Lauren takes pride in helping to prepare families with the knowledge, services and resources that they will need as they embark on the journey to parenthood. As the “right hand” to Northeast Doulas Agency owners, Randy and Debbie, Lauren has assumed a management role and understands the dynamics of running this agency, meeting client needs and managing our amazing staff of doulas. Her vast experience and dedication to education qualifies her as a Pregnancy Consultant. As a mother of two, Lauren has taken care in navigating through her births and postpartum experiences to create the best possible energy within her home and family. Lauren takes great satisfaction in preparing our clients to do the same. Both personally and professionally, as a friend, doula and Pregnancy Consultant, Lauren has become an invaluable source of strength, knowledge, and encouragement to those around her. As a certified labor and postpartum doula Lauren has taken her passion for these experiences to a new level and made herself an expert on all things relevant. In meeting with clients Lauren helps assess their needs and provide the best possible tools (including a doula) for this wonderful journey.

| Kim Jones
Kim’s background in the healthcare industry and management of a private OB/GYN practice, has given her more than 25 years of hands-on skills qualifying her as a Pregnancy Consultant. Kim has been trusted by Specialists, Obstetricians, Midwives, Doulas, and the patients she has worked with and has always exceeded the expectations placed on her. Her goal is always to ensure that our clients receive the highest quality of care, professional service and personal satisfaction. Kim’s professional experience coupled with the births of her four children, including a set of fraternal twins, has provided Kim with a vast understanding of both Provider and Patient. Her desire to support clinicians and patients alike is what influenced her to become a certified labor and postpartum doula. Kim’s natural inclination and her strong and comforting communication skills, further convinced her to devote herself to being a full-time Pregnancy Consultant. Kim's experience with interviewing, hiring and supervising staff gives her a natural insight to assist parents through the entire process of selecting a nanny, baby nurse or sitter. When working as a postpartum doula, clients describe her as a “life saver” and were always extremely grateful for her empowering supportive and educational technique. Kim has a vast experience with long-term postpartum care. Kim has successfully paired doulas with families as well as introduced appropriate services to guarantee transitioning to parenthood is positively accomplished.
